I started this blog after realizing I really don’t like the word “hack” or “hacker“. It has really negative connotations – people with electronic axes busting apart a system or device.
Well, that’s not me. I like to make things and modify things, or see how they work.
I also don’t like “circuit-bending”. Are we really bending circuits? Not really. Its just modifications. Believe it or not, if you just start poking around and hook up wires to ICs and solder connections, you have a good chance of destroying the circuit.
So, this blog will not use those terms or those concepts.
In other news:
I want to start either a “tool library” (you check out the tool, but bring it back when you are done). Or a “part exchange” (take this part, in exchange, you give me another part, or replace at some other time). Or a “parts bank“, where you tell me your project, and what your parts needs are, and I will see what I have that would work.
This would be located in Stillwater, MN. So if you live in that area, give me a shout and tell me what you think.
